Hi! I’m Kyrus Keenan Westcott and I am here today to talk to you about laziness.
Being lazy SUCKS. It literally destroys any and all productivity we may have had planned for the day. Even if we do get around to doing the task we need to do, laziness can make the quality of the task kinda BLAH.
So today, I’m going to talk about defeating laziness. I’m talking about this with you today because laziness is something that I really struggle with. To be honest, I was almost too lazy to even write this blog today. Hey… I am not perfect!
While I am not perfect, I am super happy with the progress that I’ve made over the past couple months.
Before we get started, if you like this video, please be sure to share it with anyone within your friend group or family… especially the people who are… lazy. Don’t be lazy. Share this blog.
Okay. Here are Ky’s 5 Ways to Defeating Laziness…
1 – Exercise!
You might be feeling lazy because your body simply doesn’t have the energy it needs to do stuff. Exercising is a great way to increase your energy level. So do yourself a favor, after you read this blog, go hit up Planet Fitness. I’m sure they’ll be happy to see your face and take your money.
2 – Get Some Rest!
How can you have energy if you don’t allow your body enough time to reset and re-energize? I try to go to bed at 10pm, but sometimes I end up going to bed at 2am and I wake up at 5am. Don’t be like me. Go to bed.
3 – Reward Yourself!
Give yourself a reward for accomplishing a task! Maybe after you complete a task, you reward yourself with a nice dinner or a movie or time to watch season 3 of Stranger Things… which is fantastic by the way. You should be watching that right after you read this.
4 – Understand the Repercussions
Sure, if you get the task done, the benefits are great. But you should also spend time thinking about what’ll happen if you DON’T get the task done. Think about those repercussions. If you don’t get it done, maybe the doorway to the upside down will open up and the Mind Flayer will attack you and your friends… can you tell I’ve been obsessing over Stranger Things? Is it obvious?
5 – Give Yourself a Deadline
Give yourself a sense of urgency to complete the task. Maybe it’s 15 minutes to get something done. Adding in that sense of urgency will serve as motivation to complete the task at hand.
So these are just a few tips that I have for you. If you have other tips, please don’t hesitate to share them with me and others! Once again, if you like this blog, don’t be lazy, share it with your friends and family!
Thanks for reading. I’m Ky. #GoodVibes
