NOTTINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL IS BRINGING BACK THEIR PROFESSIONAL ALUMNI TO PERFORM FOR A ONE-NIGHT-ONLY CABARET EVENT
A NORTHSTAR NIGHT: A SPECIAL ALUMNI CABARET
Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 7:00PM
There are three high schools in Hamilton Township, New Jersey – Nottingham (Hamilton North), Steinert (Hamilton East), and Hamilton West. If there is one thing that Hamilton Township is known for, it’s for producing some of the hottest and most successful performing arts talent in the Mercer County area. Over the rich, artistic history in Hamilton, students from all three high schools have gone on to become quite successful on the Broadway stage, regional theater stages, film, television, and the recording industry. Which begs one to wonder – what would happen if we got some of these successful alumni back together to perform for one night only for a worthy cause?
Well, Nottingham High School is doing just that on September 27th inside their auditorium with A Northstar Night: A Special Alumni Cabaret. In what the event’s producers are hoping will eventually turn into a yearly tradition in Nottingham, and perhaps, eventually, the entire township, a group of former students and teachers have banded together to get some of the school’s professional working alumni together to perform for one-night-only inside Nottingham’s auditorium at 7:00PM on Saturday, September 27th – which coincides with the school’s 2014 Homecoming Weekend.
Since this is the first year of the event, the organizers are starting with a small group of performers, but if successful, they’ll be expanding to more alumni performers in the future.
A Northstar Night: A Special Alumni Cabaret is a celebration of the artistic and professional achievements of the many talented alumni of Nottingham High School in Hamilton Township, NJ. On Saturday, September 27th at 7:00PM, graduates of the Nottingham High School arts programs who have gone on to perform professionally will be welcomed back home to present a cabaret of musical, dramatic, comedic, and choreographed performances. This cabaret will also showcase the talents of Nottingham alumni that work professionally as producers, directors, designers, and marketers. A Northstar Night provides these artists the opportunity to give back to the teachers, administrators, counselors, and community that fostered and cultivated their passions and careers. All proceeds of A Northstar Night will equally benefit Nottingham High School and Autism Speaks. This event is open to the public. CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE EVENT’S OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
